It seems that this novel monsters of the peculiarities in the title. But sometimes it is really true that patience is the virtue of the strong, and this case is no exception. Because when the spark set fires fire events bring motorcycles unleashed and not cease to flow until the final epilogue.
Although it is a work of fiction, it is conceivable that something likely with the realities of the period, and this is a point in favor of the author, that manages to capture the reader into what is a landscape to observe.
Angelo is a guy who lives in the Vicenza province, not far from Bassano del Grappa, but far from what might be called the city. He is young, strong, full of hope for a future that perhaps one day he will smile. Yes, because at the moment it doesn’t.
The story starts in the early summer of 1938, when Angelo returns to his hometown, after an absence of over a year. Angelo has suffered a tragedy and you know that some dramas, especially at that stage of adolescence, leave your mark. The choice of return was his, the habits of his life are lacking, especially loved. The people of the country, peers, Mario, his greatest friend and blood brother and mom. However, in a scenario found Angelo is reluctant to get used to the absence of a person who has lost. Unable to find balance, but then does the knowledge of Marianna. She sneaks into Angel’s life quickly, too quickly. And he does not accept that behavior. The resulting reaction is impulsive drastically and who knows thinks it’s still out of hindsight.
Reading it is not easy to see the detail. Angelo has not only afraid to fall in love again but afraid that one day he will forget the love that he felt for Silvia. Then he needs someone he can trust, someone who indulge, someone who will drive in the new path of rediscovery. However, we will not take long to figure it out.
The narrative is smooth and has the goal of taking the reader by the hand until first preparing it tipping point. As we mentioned before, Angelo takes in his new life, Marianna and the feeling that arises between them leads them to something strong, lasting, unbreakable. And other factors come into play. Marianna is pregnant. At this point, the reactions of Carlo will be brutal towards the future unborn. Furthermore, Angelo is not only in the economic conditions to shoulder the burden of a family, but the approach of the winds of war over-complicating that situation.
And war is not late. Is the September 1939 when Hitler invades Poland and not even a year after Mussolini will engage in the so-called Blitzkrieg which as we all know that Flash was not.
